1/31/11: The 2011 Series entries are posted. 2011 Series events are posted on the calendar page and Home page. Any SoCal runner can guarantee themselves an entry slot into Mt Disappointment 50k this year if they are a member of the Southern California Ultra Series. That's right! All Series members will be taken into the 2011 Mt Disappointment. More info to follow or contact the Director at firstname.lastname@example.org.... Thanks!!!
1/09/09: The 2008 Series Awards/Run/Picnic will be held on January 31, 2009 at Chantry Flat in the Angeles National Forest. The Run begins at 9:00 a.m., the Picnic about 11:30 a.m., and the Awards about 12:15 p.m. The Awards is an open to public event, but please contact me so I can prepare. 4/29/08: Thanks for being patient. I was unable to post the Leona Divide Results because we were evacuated from our home due to the Sierra Madre Fire. We have now returned and our home is safe too! Thanks and don't play with matches!
1/25/08: THE 2007 AWARDS / RUN and PICNIC was held at Carbon Canyon Regional Park on Saturday, January 19, 2008. The run began at 9:00 a.m., with lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m.. Fifty-four runners and supporters were able to attend. The weather was great, the food was great, the Awards were great, and as always...ultrarunners are always great! Thank-you everyone for a tremendous 2007. Now let's all really work hard at increasing our membership for 2008. Let's set 100 as our 2008 membership goal! It will take all of us recruiting to reach that goal, but we can do it. Let's go-for-it! Thanks! We can do it together!
1/05/08: AWARDS / RUN and PICNIC: Because of a major winter
storm, our 2007 Awards / Run / Picnic has been rescheduled for January
19, 2008. This year’s Awards / Run / Pot-Luck Lunch will be on
January 19th at Carbon
Canyon Regional Park in Orange County. The run will begin at 9:00 a.m.
The lunch prep will begin at 10:30 a..m., with the lunch and awards
beginning at 11:30 a.m. Series members, guests, non-Series
runners, Race Directors, and families are all welcome to join us! The
Series will supply burgers, veggie burgers, dogs, condiments, some
beverages, and some salad. Please let me know if you are coming and can
bring a food item.
Directions to the Awards: Get to the 57 FWY, and just south of
Diamond Bar, take the Lambert Exit and go east. Lambert turns into
Carbon Canyon, so after you cross Valencia Ave. the Park Entrance will
be on the right.
